From Designer to the Store – Life Cycle of Fashion

The process of creating beautiful fashion items from planning stage to distribution to stores is a process involving many people and much research. The major players in this process are the fashion designers, models and stores that promote the sales of the designs as they are released for public sale

With the advantage of education and experience designers will take their inspiration from many sources.  Insects will give ideas for flowing clothes that seem to fly; old vintage style clothes will inspire bodices and fuller style skirts. History will provide period costumes as inspiration for new and innovative styles from Grecian and Roman styles of fashion.

Combining all the different styles together, and using software and other technology to put life in their ideas, the fashion designers create endless styles that they showcase their creations at fashion shows that receive wide interest from fashion distributors. Reality TV and Entertainment style shows  showcase some of these  latest fashion trends as stars and models wear them and show case them on the red carpet events that occur in the top fashion venues in New York, Paris and London where most of the designers also live.

Most styles remain popular for a season or two. Some are classic styles that will remain popular for longer periods. Many of these retro styles find their way back into popularity years after they first hit the catwalks and enjoy as much interest as they did on their first appearance.

Many of fashions latest trends are individual designs, specially commissioned for individuals, If these outfits re seen publically they may produce a rush of similar fashions for more general public release.
